  • MQM Detailing: 1989 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z

Here is the vehicle I detailed this past weekend. This has to be one of my favorite details yet. I really love this car and would love to own one. The paint on this car was in horrid condition when I got it. There are a few noticeable flaws in the paint that obviously can't be fixed without repainting it, but I think I put some life back into this beast!!!

    Process:

    Wash:
2 Buckets, Grit Guards, Microfiber Mitts
    Gold Class Shampoo
    Bug/Tar Remover

    Wheels/Tires:
    Wesley's Bleche White
    APC+
    Quik Wheel Detailer
    Hot Rims Tire Gel

    Windows:
    Glass Cleaner Concentrate
    UQW

    Paint Correction:

Lots of Clay and Last Touch!!!
    G110
    M105
    M205
    Meguiar's Polishing Pads
NXT 2.0 Tech Wax (By Hand)
    Ultimate Quik Detailer

    Interior:
    Vacuumed
    LGM & APC+
    Supreme Shine Protectant
    Glass Cleaner Concentrate

The paint was clear coat. I was hoping it was single stage, but oh well.
But the front bumper was Single stage

The Camaro looks great. Way to go. What a improvement. I bet the owner was thrilled.

Nice job on the Camaro. Did you get any after pics of the engine bay?

And only four hours! lol. How do you work so fast? That would have taken me a whole weekend.

Really nice! I am a HUGE 3rd gen F-Body fanatic. I can see that it's a 305 TPI car due to the speedo. Also, those 15" IROC wheels are rare...most came with the 16" version of the wheel.

I just sold my 86 IROC back in August.
