Hello all! This weekend I worked on a couple of cars. Here is a 2004 XJ8. The owner tells me it has never seen polish or wax and just wanted to bring the clarity and protection back. Upon inspection I noticed it wasn't that terrible considering it has never seen a detail. Some basic swirls from all the car washes and the paint had some light bonded contaminants mainly on the roof and trunk lid. The hood wasn't as bad. The entire car was clayed including glass.
On with the pics. Here are some before shots:
You can see the paint was a bit hazy and needed some clarity.
After the (2) bucket wash and claying I began with a test. I found M205 on the G110 with a W-8006 worked fairly well and did bring back the shine.
The trunk lock area was also cleaned after I noticed how dirty it was.
The trunk release button
The interior was also in need of some cleaning so I then moved on to that while I let the NXT 2.0 dry.
50/50 shot of the center arm rest
And here are the afters
The owner was very happy with the end result and said it didn't even look this good when they bought it. I think it's very neice when we all work on a customers car and comments like that are made. I got another two details out of this one so that was nice. Thanks for checking this out!
