Thanks Mark. For some reason I've been getting alot of big trucks lately. with a couple more in line. I'm just glad they're not full paint corrections.

Hot sun huh? We've accustomed to hot climate. Even so,I still get sunburns sometimes on my cheeks and hands. I girlfriend always called me the red porkster after doing work under the sun. *LOL*

Thanks alot Tim. The "red porkster"? LOL, Good one. It's funny my arms are dark from the sleeve down. No way I'll walk around in public without my shirt on. Well, it may look like I still have a white Tee shirt on.

Can't believe the fire still hasn't been put out... Really hope there aren't any MOL members being the victims in that area...

Thank you Ganesa. It really was hot and I was about 7 miles from the beach so we did get an occasional cool breeze. As for the fires little by little they're being controlled but it still may be some time before their fully contained.

Great work as usual, Jesse. The truck looks great. You want to detail in the heat, come to Florida in the summer. lol.

This past weekend I worked on a black 2500HD. Not sure what the weather was like outside Southern Cali but it was HOT to say the least. When I arrived I inspected the paint condition and I have to say it was well maintained with a few light scratches here and there. The owner has done a great job. We decided to go with the simple light polish and wax. The truck had just been washed by the owner the previous day so I just wiped it down and followed up with some mild clay and last touch. Few contaminants mainly on the horizontal areas.

Here is a shot of the truck completed. I would say about 70-80% of the swirls were removed.


These were all the after pics I got unfortunately. I was hot, tired and ready to head out after 8 hours.

Now here are a few things I came across:
You can work with M205 under the HOT sun and You can work with NXT 2.0 under the HOT sun with the G110. Do I or anyone else recommend it? NO WAY NO HOW!!!!!! The paint I'm not kidding had to be at least 120 degrees. I burned the palm of my hand when I was working on the top cab of the truck. I'm still waiting on my Canopy to arrive and the owners brought their patio umbrella out when I was near completion. So this was a tough detail. The owner did bring out a container with ice & drinks so they were great in helping keep me cool and from passing out. I returned the following day to work on their Suburban (Wash, clay, #66 and wipe down interior in about 4 hours again no canopy). I hope to get my hand on the Camaro in the garage
because it is swirled out pretty bad.
I never get this red. I used the MF around my neck after soaking it with ice cold water.


On my way home you can see the huge smoke from the fires.
