I've dealt with issues like this before, and I must say you did a fantastic job!

The only thing I didn't understand was your use of the word "flash". Is that the point when D151 turned transparent?

BTW, I presume you allowed the product to dry before removal, and was any of it difficult to remove in the high Florida humidity? Did D151 leave any thick spots to remove?

Whoa! Outstanding indeed! After dealing with black cars that required a lot of work, I am envious!

Boat Cleaner for pre-soak!? How did you like it?

I allowed the product to dry to a "light haze" or in other words just beginning to dry. In this fashion I was using it more as a defect-removal polish than an LSP. I knew I'd be coming over the top of it with one or two coats of carnauba so I wasn't as concerned with it's protective qualities.

The boat cleaner product was a recommendation from a yacht detailer who is a friend of mine and regularly cleans my uncle's Hatteras. He noticed I used Dawn as a pre-soak on my vehicles with heavy contamination, no recorded detail history, or as a wax-stripper. He recommended the citrus-based boat cleaner he uses for the same purposes as it does not tend to react as harshly with exterior plastics and rubber over time. It doesn't "sud" as much as other products but sure does its job well! Works great and I use it religiously now. Also is cheaper than the dish soap...
