  • 2008 Dodge Power Wagon Detail, first use of G110

I got the chance to use the G110 for the first time today. I must say it is a fantastic tool, you wont see me working by hand anymore. The paint on this truck was pretty soft based on my test spot. I did a test spot with #80 - Speed Glaze and a SoftBuff 2.0 Polishing Pad on speed 4 and then pulled the truck out in the sunlight. The result was a swirlfree and high gloss finish that is perfect for applying a wax to. heres my process.

    Process:

    1. Wash with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
    2. Clay with Smooth Surface Clay Kit and Last Touch Spray Detailer
    3. #80 - Speed Glaze - Speed 4 with a SoftBuff 2.0 Polishing Pad
    4. NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0- Speed 3 with SoftBuff 2.0 Finishing Pad

The rest of the line up:

-Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Spray
-Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant
    -Hot Rims Chrome Polish
    -Quik Wheel Detailer

Seriously though, The G110 is my new favorite tool

Awesome work and superb finish. That orbital should make the rest of the cars in his stable go by quicker. Glad I could be of some assistance in the process...

Great job, Nick. I can remember my first detail with my G100 a few years ago. It was awesome and I've always enjoyed using it. I, too, will never do back to doing things by hand.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really like the G110, it makes things so much easier and its fun to use.

I have most of the new SMAT products but M80 just works great time after time and finishes out so nicely.

Awsome finish Tuck. The paint just pops right out! I especially noticed how well the ABS plastics were finished.Really spotless.

A lot of nice vehicles there...I'll look forward to that '63 though!
