  • MQM Detailing: Nissan Maxima

This is one of the three cars that I detailed today. I am wiped out to say the least. This is a great car. The owner has a custom grille and rims on it. The paint was hard. It took a while to get the right product for it. I tried UC, SwirlX, DC1, etc. I eventually used M80 to get rid of the defects.

    Process:

Wash: NXT Wash, 2 Buckets, Grit Guards
    Clay: Smooth Surface Kit
    Polish: M80 by Polishing Pad/DA
Wax: NXT 2.0 Wax by Finishing Pad/DA
    Finish: Last Touch

Wheels: QWD, APC+, Meg's Aluminum Polish
Tires: Wesley's, GC Endurance High Gloss Gel

Windows: Detailer Line Glass Cleaner, RainX

    Headlights: PlastX By Drill

    Interior:

    APC+
    Little Green Machine
    Supreme Shine Protectant
    Detailer Line Leather Conditioner

This Took about 4 Hours straight of nonstop work

The first "after" picture highlights the transformation well . Please tell us; what was your process for getting rid of the bugs on the front of the car? I'll eventually dig through the forums for that answer, but do tell.

        Hey, Thanks for The Comments

First, I just used the basic NXT wash and my Microfiber mitt...And a little elbow Grease.
Then just did the same but with my Bug Sponge

            Nice work!

Bugs are a pain. I usually use my wheel face brush on bugs with heavy doses of car wash.

How the heck did you do all that in four hours? That would have taken me 6-8. I must be a slow poke.

I'm also surprised you got anywhere with the DA and M80 on that specific car. I have an '06 Altima and I had to go rotary/M84 on most of the car to get most of the swirls out. rotary and M80 hardly touched it. Maybe they were all deep; I don't know.

nice! Newer Maximas are the THE best looking affordable sedan on the road, in my opinion.
