Nine years later ....... we are doing a 2nd B-17. This one has been parked outside since 1958. Shes extremely weathered. She's going to need lots of love.

A group of us will shine her bare aluminum skins April 2018!! This is going to be an EXTREME MAKE-OVER for sure!!

In this photo, you can see the test spot I performed. This is going to be lots of work and lots of fun!

Absolutely! The Lord has opened doors for me and given me the courage to take on such projects. I for not even a second forget it and praise him.

Hi SS,I seen this thread about a month ago,and wanted to post a reply, but it was closed.Anyway,i was interested in the history of the plane and it's service,so Mario gave me a couple of links plus the 2 youtube links.

Was interesting to see that it was used in 'Tora,Tora,Tora',which i've seen so many times but don't remember it.So I'll need to dig the tape out.

A great plane, excellently detailed by you and your team, and now looked after and staying in it's birth place.

Can't give 5 stars? Will that do?

    Thank you for the compliment.

I own about 20-25 buffers so..... We used backing plates from Meguiars, 3M, lake country and some cheapy ones from harbor freight.
