  • Green For St. Patrick's Day!!! (56K NO NO NO!!)

Finally I got to Detail my Dad's Car!! It has been long in the making. Basically he does not want me touch to his car, because he does not care that much about it. But while he was taking the Truck to the Bike Shop, I decided to detail his car. He took it to the car wash once over the winter. It probably has not been washed for 3 months. I has not been waxed since September. It sits outside all the time. It is a 2002 Saturn SL1/2. We bought it used, and we do not really know what it is. This is My first time using the Deadly Combo of M105/M205!! All I have to say is WOW!!!! Enjoy the Pictures.

    Process:

    Wash:
    Meguiars Hyper Wash

    Polish:
    M105
    M205
Both on DA on Speed 5 and Polishing Pads

    Wax:
2 Coats Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0
    Finish Pad Speed 3

    Trim:
    Meguiars Hyper Dressing 1:1

    Glass
    Meguiars Detailer Line Glass Cleaner

    Tires:
    Meguiars Hyper Dressing 1:1

    Befores:

Sorry If it was hard to see the swirls. I do not know what happened. Anyways, the swirls were obviously bad, and the worst spots were the trunk and the hood. They were also the hardest spots to remove the swirls and deeper scratches as you saw in some of the pictures.

    Now the Afters:

Yes I see the Water Blade. And to answer your question in advanced, no I did not use that to dry, nor will I ever. It is there to keep my Garden Hopper from moving when I am work. The Garden Hopper is the little wheeled thing in some pictures.

    Thanks for Looking!!

In Total I think it took me 4 or so hours.

        Thanks for the Compliments Guys!!
As for you Nick, I think my Dad likes it.
If I remember correctly, he thinks it is cool to have his car look so good, but as I said before he does not car that much. But he still likes to have his car clean and look good!!

I saw the befores and thought Oh boy!

nice work, it looks great. bit of a shame when people dont look after their cars. I saw a video the other day on fifth gear (its a brittish car program designed to compete with top gear), it featured 3 cars all corrected by a well know detailer (over here), and subjected them to different washing techniques (check out what the water blade does to the car!)

                      enjoy.

Just to let you know I saw that video a couple of weeks ago in another thread, and that is why I stopped using it. I have a total of three water blades though. I have a big "Jelly" one ,and 2 the same size in the picture. I mainly use them, if I am already doing full detail without wax already on the car and only on windows.
