that one of be most beautiful cars ever, IMO, and you did a Ferrai worthy job! Im envious of you getting to be that close to such an awesome car for so long
You should have heard it run!!!! It has an after market exhaust of some kind and had that V12 sounding SWEET!
The real payoff for me is when the owners of the Ferrari came out to see the car when I was finished. They were extremely happy.
It was too dark to take any pictures so I asked the owner of the car if he would be so kind as to take a few and email them to me.
Here is his email and pic -
Hi Joe...The car looks outstanding! I've attached a few photos, but the damn thing is so shinny that it's hard to get the camera to focus on the car instead of the sheen. Thanks again Joe!!!
These are the plates I would have on there if it were mine -LOL!!!

Meguiars red clay bar helped remove the paint over spray. Wool and foam pads and #86 and #105 got her shiney. The application of #21 polymer sealant completed the steps required to "bring her back".
Masking tape helps protect the edges from having too much material removed from them.
Here is a picture at about 8pm (I think) It was darker out in person than it looks in the pic.
Here is a dual xenon light pic of the hood. Swirl free!!
I had the pleasure to shine a Ferrari 550 Maranello for a true car guy (his daily driver is a Corvette). He recently purchased the vehicle and found it to be mechanically babied but left much to be desired as far as the appearance went.
What I was confronted with was a car that needed a fair share of TLC. It wasn't just swirled and scratched but it was covered in paint over- spray.
I anticipated a good seven or eight hour rub out session. I finally finished up over 12 hours later in almost complete darkness. It was allot of work but I enjoyed every second of it.
