1994 Acura Legen Carpet Cleaning

This very nicely kept Acura Legend belongs to a fellow Meguiar's Car Guy (and a very nice guy to boot). It was a recent purchase that needed a little bit of extra help on a carpet stain on the driver's compartment. The overall condition of the Acura was excellent and it was evident that it had been well cared for.

We cleaned an extra set of factory mats that the owner was able find on Ebay as well. Normally we wouldn't have gone to the lengths that we did to clean mats as the cost of cleaning a "cheap" mat exceeds it's value. However, these were very nice original mats that are difficult to get, so we gave them the "Infinite" treatment




PROCESS


Mats:
- Pre-treat floor mats with Orange Blast 1:1 and carpet brush
- Power wash mats
- Brush mats
- Power wash again
- Extract using LGM w/Heat, hot water only


Carpet
- Pretreat stains with Folex, work with carpet brush
- pretreat all carpet with "Top of the Line" carpet shampoo, 16:1
- Agitate with carpet brush
- Extract with LGM using hot water only
- Retreat stain with Folex, then extract again



Although we weren't able to completely remove all stains, the improvement was significant.

That is a great improvement. Those stains were bad. You did a great job as always. Way to go.

We're not entirely sure what caused the stain. It seemed to be a petroleum based substance. Not sure how it got there either. The previous owner had mentioned something was leaking, but I can't imagine what could be leaking in that area of the car.

Absolutely awesome job. I couldn't believe my eyes. But the amount of work needed to get the result was also tremendous.

It was a good amount of work. It took two of us two hours, so four man hours of work. Thank heavens for the power washer and the Little Green Machine extractor!

Thanks again for the help Jeff! I think everything is dry now. I'll probably throw a little bit of plastic on the sill areas this week and then she's good to go Hope the rest of the day went well.
