  • 2002 Acura CL DETAIL

Hello all. Here is a quick write up. This is a 2002 Acura CL that I worked on this past Sunday. The condition of the paint was pretty bad. Heavy contaminants along with hazy swirls as you will see on the following pictures. Looks like the car has seen many drive thru car washes.

    PROCESS
Tires: APC & dressed with Hyper Dressing
    Wheels: Wheel Brightener
Wash: Super Suds with no wax.
    Clayed: Aggressive
    Headlights: PlastiX with rotory
Polished: #80 with W-8006 pad & rotory. (The G110 required at least 3 passes with #80 to make it look right. Didn't want to do #83)
    Final pass with #66.
    Time: 4 hrs. 50 min.

It's a squirt bottle cover that I keep the #80 in. Lol. Any toys or dolls you see around my work place belong to my nieces. I promise.

Thank you all once again for the kind comments. This Saturday I'm scheduled to work on a red 85 Pontiac Fiero. Let's see how that turns out.

Single stage corrections are the best!!!

                  Better take some pics.

Sure will. Some parts on the car are clear coated so I'll try and match the single stage to the newly painted areas.
