Re: Been playing around with scratch repair....
Amazing. I would like to try that on a couple pesky rock chips on the wife's car. One question though. Is that ss paint or b/c?

No, no pictures along the way. I forget too much
Basically, clean the area out with alcohol.
Apply a coat of touch up paint(the kind from the dealer with the little brush).
Keep applying coat after coat until the touched up area is higher(thicker) than the paint on the car. This took about 4-5 coats before I could see it being thicker than the factory paint on the door.
Next, I wet (feather)sanded with 2000 UniGrit paper to get everything flush and level.
Buff with M105 on a wool pad
These scratches on this car took about 3 hours to repair. Mainly because of how many there were. There are 2 major chips in the paint(which you can see plain as day), but all of those little scratches had to be filled in also. And also, look at the door's edge, there were several chips there also.

Been playing around with scratch repair....
Lately, I've been playing around with some scratch repair. Using touch up paint to fill in scratches, wet sanding, etc...
Here is my latest victim
