Re: white countach 5000
hi guys have a look at this post i put up some time ago plz
We encourage MOL members to show off their latest before & after results. We also welcome "Work in Progress" Threads. For Enthusiasts or Professional Detailers
and 97 supra i think your thinking of someone else as i dont have a shop and i stay in scotland
as i stay in scotland and i`ve posted on your forum that is U.S.A based i know i will not get any new clients from this forum as i get new clients from word of mouth, so i thought some of you on here might like to see some of the cars i`ve done
as for the wash and wax comment i wasjust look at the spyker i did, that was no wash and wax
the reason why i have not posted for while as the laptop was broken
so i think mike ******* if you could lock this post as i dont want this to get out of hand

Re: white countach 5000
I'm surprised that I even look at these posts anymore...
Scads of pictures of $300,000 autos that you've detailed and made real shiny just don't make sense. Measuring the film build and "putting it in the laptop" is sorta overkill if you're just cleaning up swirls on these garage queens. With out before pictures, these monolithic posts are simple wash and wax!
Frankly, I barely have time to write posts. I certainly don't have time for all those photos, download, upload, etc.
I do enjoy genuine 'extreme makeovers' like the one's from Superior Shine.
However, this one is pure, and obvious, hype. All things in moderation, Mike.
Jim

That's my favorite Countach style of all time. Beautiful car and a fantastic detail.

I think this has never happened and I didn't say anything because but I thought that if he wanted to post his "detail work" without regarding the products used I bet there is a lot of forums about detailing with no brand attachment.I noticed this also this afternoon when I was commenting on his work. But I guess I am still in the holiday spirit as I did not say a thing. I thought it was odd that He would list his process. All that was Meguiars was the sandpaper. Well, thanks for taking care of the problem guys. Now we resume oohing and aahing over Meguiar product details. lol

Re: white countach 5000
Hey X-Mike...beings that we are all car nuts and I personally LOVE exotics, why not just post the pics of the cars you detail and not the process (unless it's Megs of course) and we'll all be happy!!!!!

Re: white countach 5000
As Mike already mentioned - you don't use Meguiar's products. It may be nice to see exotics but what I'm seeing is more of a promotion of your business, rather than the demonstration of how Meguiar's products are used on these exotics.
I recall seeing a show on TV a few years ago about you and your shop. It occurred to me it was you, when I noticed the paint thickness gauge in your hands along with the use of the word citrus, and foam. I recall hearing you purchased one of the single most expensive tubs of Carnuba Wax and how your rate of labor is (or is close to) one of the highest in the industry.
Your efforts aren't wasted of course your work is good and you make a great living off of your reputation no doubt - as we see you are never short on exotic customers.
Are you trying to show us that your products are better than Meguiar's? Or that you are too good for Meguiar's products? I feel kind of insulted because I did think your work went above and beyond - but then I found this forum where everyones work is incredible and the results are definitly as impressive.
I challenge you to use all Meguiar's products on a detail job and tell the customer, I'd bet a lot that they would still pay your price and be equally as satisfied with the results.

Because Meguiar's pays for this forum and the gallery and my salary, etc. I have to look out for their best interest, (of course), so I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a pattern taking place with any kind of agenda.
This wouldn't have been an issue except we've had people posting with agendas in the past and of course we've all seen it on other forums, thus our radar screen is pretty sensitive.
Thanks for clarifying.
i know what you mean by agenda`s as i have seen them on other forums
keep on detailing guys and i`ve got a zonda and a konissegg booked in soon guys

We agree, we love to look at cool cars especially when a talented detailer has rescured them from swirl city.
