  • My Recent Detail with So1o!

I'm sure most if not all of you guys won't be familiar with this vehicle it's a 2003 model Isuzu Crosswind . The owner rarely washes it and its always parked under a tree, the paint was fairly easy to work with but this defects were just terrible. My process was Clay with Hi-Tech body sponge, So1o with a W4000 wool pad (Rotary), So1o with a W8000 polishing pad (Rotary), M82 with a W9000 finishing pad (Rotary) and as my LSP I used M20 followed by M26 applied by hand. Here are some pictures.

Please excuse me for the poor photography specially the before ones (it was taken at night) I'm still in the learning process when it comes to taking pictures.

    Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks to Nick a.k.a n737nc who gave me tips on working with the So1o system. This was my first time using the So1o, this is just a test run so to speak for my next and real detail with the So1o a MB SLK 500

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Surprisingly it was fun working with the Solo, no problems whatsoever, at first I thought I would have a hard time with it since it uses a different technology compared to the other Compounds I have been accustomed to like M84 and M85 but no problems here.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

As you have used both methods, how does the So1o compare to the M84 / M85?

              Nice work!!!
I would be interested too in knowing your thoughts on the solo cream versus 84 or 85. I have the cream, but have never used it as of yet.

First off they are all good products and easy to work with, M85 is kinda messy to work with, with all the residue I get from it compared to M84 with Solo I was just surprised with shine it produced. Since this was only the first time I used the Solo I really can't give definite answers yet, still have to do a little more experimenting.

M86 is an excellent product. I just finished a black 02 Z06 Corvette that was highly scratched. I used M86, purple so1o pad on the rotary and then finished with M86, the so1o yellow foam polishing pad and the rotary. Pulled it out into the sun and it looked great! No swirls.

Sorry guys, I did not take pictures.
