    This is the car that convinced me to buy a new rotary!

    After it was all said and done, I finally finished this beast after 14 long hours! And that was just for the exterior!!! Needless to say, I bought a new Makita rotary the day I finished this car!

    This is an aftermarket paint job on this Mustang. BASF paint, Vette Torch Red with 6 coats of clear.

    83 with the 8006 pad
    80 with the 8006 pad
    2 coats of 26 Hi-Tech Yellow wax

      Yep, all with a PC. It was a TON of work. I probably made 5 passes with the 83. It kicked my butt!

          Yeah Mike, I figured it was time to make the transfer to a rotary soon, this car just helped the thought proccess a little

          Bought the Makita 9227 with the bag and it just got here 2 days ago. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I'm doing a black twin turbo Viper right now, and I really don't think thats the car to practice with haha. I've got my fiance's car to hit the rotary with in the next week or so.

          On a side note, the Viper is coming along very nicely! I'm loving that black paint it has! I'll post up some pics when it's all finished.

            That's just great. You got me all excited about doing my truck again. It looks pretty much like your first photo but in black. I just got my G100 before the weather turned cold, I did two passes of #80 on the hood and didn't really see a change. I figured I didn't have the technique down yet. Since then I have gotten some #83 but not used it on my truck. If you said you did 5 passes with #83, maybe there is hope for mine. If it wasn't 14 degrees here, I'd run out and do it now.
