As I have mentioned here, I set last Saturday to do a full detail on our 2006 Toyota Yaris. Unfortunately, the weather was not the best for taking pictures as it was overcast and cloudy. To give you an idea at how cloudy it was, the time the pics were taken was 3:00pm. I really wished there was some sun so that the pics show the shine. No 'before' pics since the car is not bad, just a bit dusty.
I have decided not to clay the car as the paint has no bonded contaminants when I ran my hand over it after washing the car.
Anyway here are the steps that I made that took about 4 hours total:
1. Washed with a 3rd party car shampoo (just finishing the one I bought several months back), and dried using MF towels.
2. Cleaned some water streaks using Quick Detailer and an MF towel.
3. Polished with Color Boost (ColorX equivalent in Australia) using Megs applicator pads. Buffed with MF towels. This is good product. I thought the paint was smooth but after putting Color Boost, it was much more smoother!
4. Waxed with Gold Class wax using Megs applicator pads. Buffed with MF towels.
5. Windshield and glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner. Also used a bit of Glass Cleaner to clean the clear headlights and rear taillights.

6. Engine compartment dressed with a small amount of Trim Detailer.

7. Interior bits detailed using Quick Interior Detailer.
