great job, now that you had mentioned it, I did notice the shrinking of the paint.

I also wished the car came with a young, coked up Julianne Moore..... mmhmm.

    LOL! Close enough!

    Thanks Tim!

It was a long week that's for sure....come Friday I was dead tired! For some reason I simply cannot go to bed directly after working on a car. I toss and turn for hours and then have dreams about the vehicle I'm working on.

I think he'd like to get $12k after all the work he just did.

It's got 82,xxx original miles (L48/auto). The interior is in great shape and the only area I saw that needed work was the drivers side carpet which has a hole worn from the heal of her shoes. I know he just performed around $3k in mechanical work, which is almost all parts as he did all the work minus the alignment (rear end, brakes, master cylinder, shocks, drive shaft, belts, hoses, plugs, wires, air/fuel filter, and I believe a few bushings...exhaust was also replaced prior to going in storage so it's like new too).

I know I wouldn't want to sell it, especially if I knew the history of the car and had money into it.

I ride a motorcycle as well, and I'll tell you I love having my '80 Camaro equally as well. On really hot days, I like wearing shorts, and cruising with the t-tops off. On cool nights I like to turn on the heater, with the t-tops off . I've road a motorcycle for 23 years, so I love it too, but I tend to be more picky of the weather. With the car, as long as it's not raining or snowing the weather is always good. Classic car insurance is also dirt cheap (at least it is in Canada)... $120 for insurance for a year.

I hope your buddy keeps the car. I haven't seen the engine or the interior, but the body now looks brand new. He can keep it a few years, enjoy it and sell it later for more money, so it's not like it's going to cost him anything other than space and time.

From average to awesome. It looks great now.
Hopefully the new owner drives it and takes care of the paint.
