      That is an incredible job you did there. I'm surprised the droppings on the top didn't eat through. Car looks truly amazing. you did one fine job getting that car look new again. Bravo

        I'm glad your customer sold the car after you transformed it back into a thing of beauty. Anyone who would let that sweet BMW get into that kind of condition shouldn't own one.

        You did an amazing job. I didn't expect it to look so good after seeing the before shots.


        As far as "too many pictures", no way! If you have some more please add them to the thread.

                  Sure Mark ..........the method was as follows: -

                  DAY 1

                  Wheels, 4 different products used including a tar & glue remover, all 4 were sprayed and left to dwell then I used several brushes and the T & G was used 3rd as that does leave an oily film so a wheel cleaner used after removes that, wheels rinsed between each product.

                  Next the hood where I used 3 different products then used Soda Crystals which worked a treat, each was sprayed, left to dwell then brushed thoroughly but only the Soda Crystals worked then rinsed after each product.

                  The bodywork was then treated to a body solvent which again was sprayed liberally and left to swell, I then went over it with a cellulose sponge before rinsing thoroughly, this was done twice.

                  Then it was time for the Snowfoam applied twice rinsing in between.

                  Washed using the 2 bucket method then rinsed.

                  The car was then clayed again twice before being rinsed.

                  Car was then washed again and rinsed.

                  It was then blowdried using a small blower I have specifically for this job.

                  Day 2

                  Taped all rubbers etc.

                  The coachwork was then polished, 2/3 stages, a fast cutting compound followed by a lighter cut to refine the finish.

                  Rinse to remove polish dust.

                  Blow dry.

                  De-mask and wipe down with IPA.

                  All glass cleaned and polished.

                  Wheels waxed.

                  First coat of wax applied.

                  Interior was treated to the full works including all carpets and fabric being shampooed, leather cleaned, conditioned and protected.

                  Day 3

                  Second coat of wax applied.

                  Total time was 18hours.

                    Sounds like the cleaning stage was the real mess. I'm very impressed you were able to get those results in only 18 hours- I'm pretty sure I would have been closer to 30 myself...haha

                      Thanks Mark......18hours is an approximation, I didn't really keep time, it could have been twenty it was about there

                      Also, I'm not sure how "blow drying" is going down elsewhere but here in the UK it's becoming the thing to do especially as part of the wash process AFTER a detail it only takes a few minutes.

                          Great job but what is snow foam and what's it used for? Is it a more aggressive wash for very dirty cars like that one was?

                              From what I understand and have seen on Youtube, snow foam is a solution that attaches in front of your hose or power washer and basically spray the entire car down with it. It gets its name I believe from what it looks like when applied.
