Thanks guys, I think I got my hands full on this one More than anything I am anxious to work on the single stage oxidized paint, just for the experience.
I'll probably end up doing the rustoleum paint job but for now I'm curious to see how much I can improve it.
My wife picked up this 1986 Mustang GT convertible from a friend of ours as a "project." It's been stored outside with the back window broken out for a while, so needless to say it's absolutely filthy inside. We actually had to remove a mother cat and her kittens who were living in the back seat!
This is going to be a weeklong project, so I'll add pictures after I complete work. The paint is badly oxidized single stage.
First up - the front seats.
I used a LGM extractor, Folex, and Meguiar's Quick Out carpet cleaner.
