Re: 69 Camaro brought back to life...
That's almost surreal... you did a fantastic job and I can only imagiine the owner's facial expression when he saw the finished job!

"Taking a car's finish to it's Maximum Potential"
Nick restored the paint to it's maximum potential, the only other option would be a new paint job or nothing at all and often times a car owner would prefer to keep the paint the car already has, just make it look as good as it can.
That's exactly what I did. The owner of this car wanted to retain this finish if possible. He was already prepared to have it repainted, which is why he gave me the "go ahead" and didn't hold me accountable for any mishaps. I knew I could make it look better, but no one thought it would come out as good as it did.......even me
As far as price goes, I took it easy on him because he has a very large collection of cars(classics and exotics), and he likes for me to take care of them......meaning, he helps pay my bills on a regular basisPlus, he's always getting a new one in that needs attention. And I love to work on these cars!
I charged him $800, and it took me 3 1/2 days to complete.

That was an amazing transformation. I don't think I would have known where to begin. But when the owner gives you the go ahead and not holding you accountable? Then it just reduces the stress & you can then make it a more enjoyable job. Once again nice work!!

Re: 69 Camaro brought back to life...
You definitely saved him from having to get a paint job.
You are very humble. You said after completing, it looked 200% better. Not sure how good your eyes are but it is more like 50,000% better. Without even being there, I know for a fact that the owner was floored. Anyone, whether pro or not, would be impressed by that makeover.

you've got to be kidding!!! that left me speechless. how long did you spend on wet sanding and polishing that jewel. i hope the owner payed you very nicely,at least half of what you saved him on a repaint.

Let me just say, that all of the defects were not removed. Some of the defects still remain, and will never come out without a repaint. I took the paint down to what I thought was a safe level, then buffed out the sanding marks and gave it a good shine.
Only thing I did was turn it from a basket case into a honest 10 footer. It is not in perfect condition.

Great job! Looks about as bad, or maybe a bit worse than the 68 Camaro I did

OMG. That is one heck of a make over. If it is the original paint, the car is worth more, even with the imperfections. I wouldn't repaint it after seeing how you made it look.
