  • Detailed: 1999 Subaru Impreza

Well someone on here might have passed by my old post asking a few questions concerning my Subaru's paint condition and why I cant get the damn swirls out and why no wax will last on it more than a few washes. Well I've fixed the Problem 90% of the way. Dont ask how Because I really don't know. A few weeks ago I just attacked the paint with everything I currently had in my arsenal. Well to my suprise the paint was deep shiny wet looking and the on 11/3/2006 I applied a final coat of Gold Class Wax and it still looks amazing.

    Process:
Wash 2 bucket with Meguiars Gold Glass
    #83 x2
    #80 x3
    # 9 x1
    Cleaner Wax
    DC#3 Caranuba Wax
2 weeks later topped with Gold Glass Wax

To start off heres a few old shots showing the horror that we once saw. My fiance kindly refers to the Subaru as Bertha

Now I had no direct sunlight but I can attest to the pictures the paint is great now, like I said its about 90% perfect. Theres slight defects in the right light but its mainly due to clear coat failure and the previous owner beating the udder **** out of this car. Also which your notice on the bonnet is a dent toward the center, thats the worst eye sore now, that was from her brother.... Sooooo onto the Pics!

Almost forgot, Here she is tucked away for a 3 day sleep while I was off.

Why did you use #9 and a cleaner wax after #80?

nice car ,maybe the best looking subaru ever made that model
Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

Well the #9 was just a whim cause I still saw Hairline scratches through the paint after running the #80 but I didnt think I should #80 it again. So I thought to go milder and this was all I had on hand. The Cleaner wax I should have bumped to a Different Day and was just a trial and error thing I was doing. To further State this car has been an ongoing process so this was not all completed in a day and that is just the FULL list of products used, not meaning all at once.

        Thanks :-)
