Yes. Most cleaner/waxes on the market will stain trim.

It's ranked with the same "cut" as #80.

Ok guys. Thanks so much for all of this info!

All I'm looking for is about 4-6 weeks of durability. I do not want to have to top it though. That would defeat an all in one. I would just use a polish then wax. I've been using Malco's Aqua Wax on my customer's cars when I dry them. This really helps the protection of any lsp.

    Will it stain trim?

This is important to know for me.

    Thanks again!!!

I think #66 is a wonderful Product. I also think it is not talked about enough.

Adding to what Mike-in-orange had to say, the protection lasts a month or more. These are on daily driven, parked outside in the day, garaged at night vehicles. The vehicles are done monthly, so the layer of wax is constantly maintained. On a well prepared surface, I can't say enough about the results of 66. IMHO, it's the perfect product to do your wash and waxes with.

As cleaner waxes go #66 is pretty potent stuff. If you have fine swirls and use it with a rotary it will certainly get rid of them. Obviously the "softer" the paint the more it will remove. But compared to something like Meguiar's consumer line Cleaner Wax, it's a night and day difference. It's also great on super sensitive paints because you can back waaaay down on the speed and use a finishing pad with beautiful results.

CAShine have you ever had a chance to use it? Perhaps I just used it on soft paint, but when I used it on my sister's car, it actually did a pretty good job of removing fine swirls. Now it's certainly not as good as a dedicated polishing step, but IME it worked pretty well.

It will hardly reduce swirls because it is a cleaner wax. It will fill in the scratches. The longevity will depend on what elements is the car facing on a daily basis. It will more likely bring more gloss to the finish.

#66 is a very good cleaner wax. It does have some capabilities to remove light scratches and swirls. Lately it has become one of my favorite products. After I put a layer of #66 on, I use #21 and the pop I get is all worth it. Good wax to stand on its own also.

    hey justine
Haven't posted much the last 4 or 5 months but do want to tell you that you do great work!
Anyways what I do know about M66 is that it is the most aggressive cleaner/waxes meguiars has.
M66 has swirl filling properties on highly sensitive paint.
It's like a bandaid if you will! it covers scratches and will come back after a few washes though.
scratchX by hand uses diminishing abrasives and chemical cleaners is less aggressive version of M66.
Also colorX & M66 when applied by machine can remove light swirls and scratches, and also helps micromarring.
Some of my notes about meguiars products I have, Hope that answered your question.

    Tell me about #66.......

I have a high demand for "wash and waxes" and I'm using the rotary a lot more now. Something inside me still wants to remove defects though.....not just cover them up.

Will #66 remove light defects with the rotary?
    How long will it protect?

I appreciate your experience and comments!
