I have to tell everyone how great the Ultimate Waterless Wash is, especially in the winter. My routine is as follows:
First thing I do is take the truck to the quarter car wash and blast all of the thick salt and snow off with the high pressure water only.
Then, I either drive home or use the waterless wash right there in the wash bay if the place isn't too busy. I have found that it takes about 1/3 to 1/2 of a bottle and 6-8 supreme shine towels. I try to err on the side of caution and use a lot of the product and clean towels. I also do not use the same towel for wheels or the lower parts of the truck that get extremely dirty.
I have had great luck using this product in temperatures as low as 20 degrees. Doing it in the sun helps and work small areas so the product doesn't freeze. If the stuff does ice over, just spray a bit more on and it's golden.
I was very nervous about any waterless wash, especially on a black truck but this stuff has changed my mind. Cost wise, it's similar to what you'd pay at an automatic wash, but there is no harsh chemicals and you get to take everything into your own hands! I am a true believer and also plan to use this in the summer to deal with light soiling in between bucket washing.
The results speak for themselves. It's not going to be perfect, but considering the weather, I'm thrilled. An automatic wash will not come close to this!
