  • Ultra Plush Terry linting

I purchased these from the local PepBoys specifically for removing Zaino products after polishing. Throught the first two applications the towels worked great. On the final detail spray, the towel I was using was linting like crazy. I just washed the four I purchased in the washer using a liquid detergent and then hang dried them. The surface of the towels are covered in lint. I snapped the towel a few times and lint came flying off all over. I'm hoping a couple of more wahes will remove this problem.
The towels are nice and plush and take the product off very well, but this linting is driving me nuts!
Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, mine are full of lint. I've had the same experience as you described. After multiple uses and washes, I did notice a significant decrease in the amount of lint. However, the towel now seems much harsher and lost much of the original plush feel. I know this is to be expected, but only to an extent.

I love Meguiar's products and can honestly say that I've been more than satisfied with my purchases in the past. But I am unhappy with the Ultra Plush terry towels

I've had linting issues w/ my Duo Fiber glass towel and am awaiting the arival of a replacement from Meguiars (although it's been 2 weeks already, maybe I need to call again?). Must be the terry cloth component of the glass towel that's causing the issue.

        Hello guys!

I`m a Meguiars User and Dealer from germany. I started to use a lot of Meguiars parts and accesoires to test them myself until selling them to my customers.

On the last weekend I received the ultra plush terry and tested it directly with the NXT tech wax on my girlfriends car. The result was incredible (reason of the great wax) and the use of the towel also. There where only a few lints, but acceptable.

After a day and a little driving, I cleaned a few spots of bugs and dirt with the Quik Detailer. I uses again the terry towell and what happened? All spots where full of lint... everywhere! I stopped the use of the towell and used my old 1-way polishing papers.

Right now, I washed the terry with 30° and softener in the washer. After 1 wash the softness is gone away - it feels now more harder and rougher. I hope this wont do any negative effect for the use. I cant say at this time if the lints are still there, but U will check on weekend on my own car... But at the moment I`m not really satisfied with this towell. Working result: perfect -> but the lints are not acceptable. I`m buying from a wholesaler in germany, so a replacement is really trouble and stress... so I wont send it back. If I would be MINE customer, I would pass it back to me....

Yeah, I bought four of these (2 double packs). I still have the receipt for one pack, but not the packaging. I wonder if I could return them.....

Yeah, they're all around great to have. But about the lint....yeah some lint does come off when you're using it. But I use meguiar's microfibers for Exterior and use the ultra plush terry towels for Interior, door panels, rims, and windows until I get that duo fiber glass towel.

This question is probably for someone that works for Meguiar's. When you prewashed your towels before they get to us. How do they get so soft and there isn't any lint that you can see on the towel? And is it ok to use the towels if they still have soem lint on them? Cause after I washed them they didn't look like they were new at all.
