  • Ultra-Safe Wheel Spoke Brush Review

My review of the Safety Top Wheel Spoke Brush.

    Packaging & Labeling:

The packaging and labeling are fine.

    Usage Tips/Directions:

Usage tips were very simple for this accessory…
Use on a cool wheel (aimed at the chemical cleaner used with the brush)
Clean and rinse one wheel at a time. (also aimed at the chemical cleaner)
Rinse brush after cleaning each wheel

SPECIAL NOTE: When using this brush, please wear protective eyewear. The brush will throw some of the wheel cleaner around as you are using it.

    Performance:

Well, I am a sucker for “nifty products, and this one sure is “nifty! I cannot believe I have not tried one of these type brushes before now! This tool allowed me to clean places on the wheels that normally required removing the wheel. It really does get into some tight spaces and opens up behind the space to do the cleaning.

The one kink in its armor may lie with the user. Because of its design, it will not hold any suds or lubricants. To help prevent scratching of the wheels, the user will need to insure that there is some kind of lubricant (wheel cleaner or car wash suds) on the wheel where the brush will be used.

    Value:

Relatively inexpensive and should last a long time. Excellent value!

    Conclusions:

If you have wheels with spokes or small slots in your wheels… this product is a must have!

    Pros:
    Easy to use.
    Does what it claims.

    Cons:
    Could be used improperly

    Initial Ratings:

Strangely enough, this accessory will get a higher rating in the Detailing Enthusiast category, as an enthusiast will probably be more inclined to use the brush where and how it should be used.

    Consumer rating = 9

    Detailing Enthusiast rating = 10

    ---------------------------------------------------------
Again, I will be doing a long term evaluation of this product.

I was in the same boat, where in the world have we been!

Only thing I would change would be the ability to hold more suds... I used a sponge to transfer the soapy water to the wheel seemed to work quite well leaving what I felt was adequate for lubrication and grime removal.

This is the brush that I have wanted to get my hands on from introduction. The wheels on my wife's car have many slots in them that are difficult at best to clean with and type of "wheel" brush. This brush allows me to spray on some wheel cleaner, allow it to dwell and work the brush in those slots to remove the grime. It's my favorite of the brushes!

Exactly... and one of the things I pointed out in my review!

This Wheel Brush is going to be a hit.

I have a brush like this from another Manufacturer, but this Meguiar's Wheel brush takes the cake.

I don't think there is anywhere on a wheel it can't go or get clean.

And while the bristles feel agressive, I know that with due dillegance and common sense that I should not damage even the most delicate of wheel finishes when using lots of soapy water with this brush.

The length and width of the brush seem to be perfect thus far and the length of the brush even helped me get in behind the wheel and get some brake parts looking a lot cleaner as well.

I have a few Mustang 5.0L's coming in the next few weeks. I think this is going to be the perfect brush for the OEM 10 Hole Wheels that came with the Stang during the 80's.

Perhaps somehow the brush could be improved slightly to include a thin core of material running the center of the brush that will hold suds?

Otherwise this is another product that even in my short ownership time, proves itself as a quailty made & durable must have.
