  • Review of the new GC Safety Tip Wheel Spoke Brush

    1. Packaging & Labeling. Is it well packaged? Are the labels durable?
The new spoke brush is sold in clear plastic bubble packaging.

    2. Helpful instructions on label?
The instructions are standard. The instructions do contain a brush storage precaution, not to store in a manner that will crush or bend the bristles. Otherwise the brush will loose its shape. Again there is the Meguiar’s satisfaction guarantee on the back. It would be a nice feature to have made the packaging a storage case of some type. Maybe there was and I missed it in the excitement of opening.

    3. Does product do what the manufacturer claims it does?
Yes the claims are met. This brush does a good job of cleaning the inner wheel area. Using this brush is also very efficient. The brush’s flexibility allows for use not only in the spoke’s openings but also behind the spokes. In addition for the wheels I've cleaned the brush has even cleaned the area between the wheel and brake caliper. That’s a very tight squeeze.

    4. Value. Is the product a good buy? If a liquid product, how much per ounce? Does a little go a long way?
Value, I feel the spoke brush is a value because it’s the right tool for the job. I was using a dish washing brush to perform this job with limited results. Now the work is getting done better and quicker.

    5. Easy to use? Hard to use? Did you read the directions and use as directed?
The spoke brush is pretty simple to use. At first I was cautious with the brush and monitored for any potential damage. After using a few times and I can see the advantage the flexibility provides. The flexibility allows for cleaning behind the spokes as I mentioned before. The safety tip is also a big plus

    6. If known, what is the pH of the product? Is it safe for enthusiasts or should it be for professional use only?
The Spoke brush is best used by anyone that washes cars.

    7. Describe the product smell, viscosity and other physical traits if any.
The bristles to the brush are not the split end type or bristles. I was kind of surprised as the bristle ends aren’t super soft, but the bristles overall are very flexible. I guess that makes up for the bristle ends.
