well while detailing my truck the other day i found 2 scratches
so it was the prefect opportunity to use the scratchx i bought last week

i should have taken before and after pics, because this stuff work as advertised, i was surprised at how well it did work
no swirls or more scratches added to the finish at all
1 of them is completely gone, and the other one, the deeper one
is almost completely gone , in the spring when its time to do a serious detail job, ill have to take some UC to it, and see how that works

    Re: scratchx 2.0

Good to hear... was wondering about the 2.0; I've used the previous version before with not-so-amazing results. Thanks for the review.

Nice to hear you having such great success with ScratchX 2.0! Keep in mind, however, that the deeper scratch may be too deep to safely remove. Can you feel it with your fingernail? If so, it's quite deep so while you may very well have minimized the appearance you probably won't get rid of it.

A scratch that is deep enough to feel is usually deep enough into the clear coat that in order to fully remove it you would remove too much clear coat from the surrounding area. The clear coat is what gives your paint its primary UV protection, and most of those UV blockers are in the upper reaches of the clear. Removing more than 0.5 mils gets you into potential issues down the road, and 0.5 mils is NOT a lot of paint!
