  • NXT Spray Wax

I really do not see any reviews for this product. I LOVE the paste wax and was wondering if the spray contains the same chemicals as it does.

Also, any tips or tricks suggested would be nice!!!

How to Get Great Results Using Meguiar's Spray Waxes

The spray wax is a bit like the Speed Detailers, however it has some wax in it, so you get a little protection out of it as well.

I dont know if it is the same chemicals, but certainly related. Nxt wax seems a little higher maintenance than some waxes, so the spray wax will help keep it looking best.

If I keep on applying Tech Wax after every wash, do I still need Spray Wax? Or do I just need Speed Detailer?

If you enjoy applying a coat of liquid/paste wax after every wash, then you wouldnt need to use a spray wax after washing. Just having a spray detailer on hand for the bugs/bird stuff would be fine for you. Just be sure to do a good job washing, as you wont have the clay/cleaning steps to help remove extra dirt. Dont want to drag any small bits around.

For some people, esp those with bigger cars, a spray wax is a way to get the 'fresh waxed' look more quickly after washing, and it is a bit more delicate, just in case any dirt gets caught in the pad.

I get great results with the NXT spray wax. You can use it on top of any wax....not just NXT. It looks great on our 2 cars which have #26 as the LSP.

I like the look after using the tech spray wax but is seems to take just as long to apply, just as long to dry, and no easier to remove than the liquid tech wax....maybe I'm missing something.

Spray waxes are tricky Through experimentation I've found that you don't need it to dry as long as regular NXT (liquid or paste). As soon as I'm done applying it to the whole car, I begin to wipe it off.
Also you have to apply SUPER thin, my car is silver and the spray wax is almost invisible when it's on.

I do use the Spray Booster Wax, but not in hot, humid weather. It streaks like crazy then. I think the Speed Detailer works just about as well. It also provides protection.

If you are using #21, it is even easier to wipe off than the Spray Booster Wax.

If you use Tech Wax every week, there is no need for Spray Wax.

Thanks for the answers, guys. Looks like I'll stick with the paste wax until it's done. When the can is empty, I might try out the liquid Tech Wax for a change.

                    Thanks guys for your responses!

I've met a guy that actually uses spray wax to remove polish. Makes removing the polish a breeze and waxes at the same time!
I was skeptical at first so I tried it on Friday. Works amazing!!!
Swirl Remover 2.0 just came right off and there was a slick finish using this spray wax technique.
Please give me some input on this if any of you have tried this process.

Well, using the spray wax shouldnt hurt anything, but remember that a spray wax is not as much protection as a liquid or paste wax. So you would still want to follow up with a regular wax anyway.

Well, I'm officially too crazy about my Mustang's color, as I've just purchased a bottle of Spray Wax.

I have the NXT Tech Wa and Spray Wax. I have not tried the tech wax for various reasons:

                          1. I don't have a garage to keep my ride indoors after the xaw application.
                          2. I cannot predict the rain during the 12 hours curing time, and is scared of wasting the effort.

So, i have been using the Spray Wax instead. The problem is, the spray wax was difficult to wipe off when its dried. I have some portions of my car that has wax streak not buffed off properly.

I feel so frustrated sometimes, but maybe it's just my skill level.

                          Any advice here guys?

I would just use the tech wax. If it looks clear out then go for it. The spray wax is not meant to replace the liquid wax. The car must have a good coat of wax for the spray wax to work. You are far better off using the tech wax rain or shine.
Watch your pennies and your dollars will take care of themself.

Spray Booster Wax does tend to streak in high humidity, which I assume you have based on your location. You are better off with the Tech Wax liquid or Paste. I prefer the paste version.

Since you already have the Tech Wax, just go ahead and use that as necessary. It will cure more quickly than 12 hours in warm weather.
