  • Hi all

    Hi everyone

New to the forum as I joined tonight.. I started buying Meguiars products about 2 years ago when I became interested in entering concours competitions with my Alfa Romeo's. I own 2 Alfa GTV 3.0 24v( one in silver and the other is a dark blue) and an Alfa 145 2.0 Quadrifoglio (referred to as super gloss black).

Getting down to business, I recently waxed the silver GTV with Deep Crystal Polish followed by Ultimate Liquid Wax and I must say that I'm truly impressed with the results ! I've never in 3 years that I was applying a locally produced brand of car care products (Shield) gotten such a rich depth of shine and a ultra gloss.

On my black 145 I use Ultimate Paste Wax and get a very good results.. I used to use the full Deep Crystal Treatment before I bought the UPS and I was happy until I found out that its Meguiars entry level products.. I think they're very professional and the protection they offer is brilliant.

Now turning to the car I wanted to talk about. When I bought the blue GTV, the previous owner wasn't the type to do any polishing/waxing at all so I've really had to start from scratch .. I cant get hold of a clay bar kit very easily in South Africa but the car doesnt have any environmental contaminants or industrial fallout so I'm happy. The night I bought it ( Valentines day this year) I gave it a hard wax with some Cleaner Wax Paste and it sort of got rid or some dullness and gave it a little more shine but I want more !! I plan to enter it into a concourse in April and I have a little time to prep the car. I haven't got a DA polisher so I'm using the good old elbow grease

    any suggestions guys ?

    Regards
    Sean
