Hello all!
My name is Michael. I run a small detail business called Robin Hood Mobile Detail that bids 10% of its earnings to local and national charities.
I wanted to join this forum in light of my recent success with the part-time business, made possible with the quality and affordability of the Meguiar's product line. I'm not a fan-boy, nor am I a paid advertiser for the company. I would love to try products from Pinnacle, Wolfgang, or Adams, but many of those names are cost-prohibitive for me at this time.
I looked into Zaino as well. Those boys make a great product but have the most confusing system for merchandising I have seen on any product, anywhere.
My full time job is an assistant manager at an Advance Auto Parts here in Austin, and I am also in school full-time completing my undergraduate degree in journalism.
I sold cars for 4 years under VW, Honda and Toyota, but have been in parts with Advance for 3 years now. I hate the pay and the erratic scheduling, but they work with my school schedule and I love having parts availability for anything I could possibly need.
This is a large contributing factor to my detail success, as well as my preference for Meguiar's products. Most of them are available over the counter at your local parts retailer. If I run low on something before a big detail gig? No problem. Trip to Autozone or my Advance has it covered. No shipping fees and waiting for UPS or Fed Ex to mess things up.
Anyway, that's my intro. I have enough before and after photos from my work to stand proud against the talent on here, and I look forward to learning about new products or techniques from the amateurs and pros alike.
Cheers!
