Hello all from Baltimore, by no means am I novice. I started detailing vehicles as soon as my father discovered I could hold a rotary polisher, that was 23 years ago. In other words I was cutting and restoring finishes at a young age. I am used to color sanding, heavy compounds, polishes, and waxes/sealants. I also have experience and still on rare ocassions for people "Cut glass" with Cerium Oxide Slur to remove acid rain and water etching. Brand of choice is not always Meguiars, for compounds/polishes still love the trusty M80, M83 and for the insane wet look what I like to call lucky 7 (show car glaze). It seems many people have complications with show car glaze and I cannot understand why, it is as simple as the finish must be immaculate, and it is easy to work with. Wax will always be Collenite double for me, only stuff I know you can poor dawn soap over and the finish still will bead months later... Prep Chemicals and dressing Kar Kraft, stuff is cheap in bulk and lasts, Hi Lite Aerosal cans still a favorite on trim. Joining the forum allows me to share my knowledge and trade secrets. I used to do this as a sideline back before you could buy these chemicals online, and access meant, at least in my area, proof you knew what you where doing. In other words autobody supply stores. Also learned how to shoot laquer, and sand/prime finishes. Anyway look forward to conversations with you all...
Recent Work 96 Jeep rarely waxed Products: Aggressive Clay, M80/83, 7, Double Wax Resurfaced Glass (TAKEN ON A CELLPHONE CAMERA ) My neighbors hate me, I live in a condo community and they always find me taking up guest parking for vehicles I cleaned up! They can get over it.
