  • First timer

Hi folks. New to the forums and already looking for advice. I have a black 08 VW Rabbit which I just got from the dealer two weeks ago and am planning to give it a good going over soon. Looking for any advice on what I should use. I have Deep Crystal cleaner and polish and a bottle of NXT Tech Wax 2.0 which was a gift. I was wondering if I can use all three together or should I switch the wax to the Deep Crystal. A clay bar isn't an option as it isn't available in my area. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm pretty much a rookie as well, but order a claybar kit offline. It is seriously the first thing I tell people about when I talk about detailing. The stuff is jaw droppping.

      to MOL, cartersdad!

The stuff you have will work great together.

I do have to agree with VonLego, you’ll really want to get clay. Maybe some of our northerly members can chime in with suggestions on where you can score some up there.

Great to know I can get things going with what I have, but I will order a clay bar for a little later in the season.

Remember a quality car wash as well, and using 2 buckets.

Sounds like you have a great start with the deep crystal system! You do not need to replace the NXTv2 with the DC#3. NXT is alittle better and gives more protection than dc#3 does too.

Just checked the Meguiars Canada site to look at ordering a clay bar and they don't have it listed. Any Canucks know if it is available up north?

Looks like you will be ok. Good luck with the rabbit. Welcome to mol.
