Perfecting a new paint job

Just had my 86 Porsche 944 resprayed with 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear about 2 weeks ago . The finish has minimum OP but there is an occasional dust speck, especially on the hood and roof areas. Was planning on wet sanding with 1500 then using a rotary with foam pad to restore. Any tips or advice would be appreciated as this is my first major experience with wet sanding.
