Hello all. Just call me either by my screen name or Paul. I have been in Japan for over 7 years now and love it here, I never want to leave. The car scene is really awesome here, everyone is very friendly and helpful here. I drive a 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R and it is a V Spec. The mod list is way too long to post, but the car is completely built and tuned by Top Secret. It has a single TO4Z turbo and 2.8 liter HKS motor. In the end, it makes 650 hp to the wheels @ 1.6 bar!
Before this car, I had 2 R33 GT-Rs, at different times though. When Meguiars had the online car show I won twice and was sent a box full of goodies. That was the 1st time I really ever used thier products and been loyal since then. These products rock! I guess Meguiars is like crack cocaine - 1st hit is for free. Then as you get hooked with that dose, you are an addict and settle for nothing less.
I am originally from Texas, joined the USAF and 5 years later came to Japan - pretty simple and abbreviated history.
Since a very young age, I have always taken really meticulous care of my cars, even before I could drive. I remember washing and waxing my dad's cars and trucks all the time. I used to think he was wierd for washing his car before we went on a long trip, "Why bother, it is just going to get a lot of bugs and dirt" ? Now, I am just like my dad, go figure. I hate driving around in a dirty car. If I cannot find the time to wash the entire car, I will at least make sure my windows are spotless and crystal clear.
Sorry for rambling on like that, but I am really serious about the visual appearance of my cars and anything I can learn to take better care or improve my technique, I am all ears.
