I bought a dark green 98 Aurora last summer. After a few months I noticed cobweb like scratches all over the car. Either I made them in the car wash, or it was on the car before, but a coat of wax could've temporarily masked it. Once I realized what I was up against, I applied clay bar, ScratchX, polish, and wax.
Unfortunately, my cobwebs are still there. I signed up here to search old posts and get info from other enthusiasts. I plan to try and tackle the scratches again, as soon as the weather here gets above 50 degrees consistently.
Now I'm debating between getting a Craftsman buffer and using M83, or retrying ScratchX and applying it a few more times (last fall I just applied it once, didn't know you should do more than that). I know the PC buffer would be better, but it's out of my price range.
BTW, can I apply mirror glaze cleaner/swirl remover (like M83) by hand, for those of us without a buffer, or should I stick with the ScratchX if doing it by hand?
