I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
With all the excitement going on with the new 2015 products, I hate to miss out on my notifications!

FWIW, I just changed my email address in my settings to another email account I have. I'll see if that works.
Now I just have to wait for someone to reply to a thread I'm subscribed to, so I can test it out!

Wow, I think we're onto something here. If you have another email address, try using that and let us know how it goes.
Hotmail wasn't blocking the notifications - they weren't in the junk mail folder or anything like that. So there must be some other weird reason.
*EDIT* come to think of it, I would always get a warning on every MOL notification email I received on hotmail. It would say that the email looked suspicious and would I like to enable the content. Maybe that has something to do with it?

18 months later and this is STILL happening. It's now also occurring with outlook email accounts as well as hotmail. I recently created myself a new outlook email account so I could start getting MOL notifications, and it's still not working.
If I change the email address in my settings to my work email, it works fine, and I did do that for quite a while.
The problem is that it's not really acceptable for me to get these sort of emails at work.
Can anyone help? This is one of the reasons I've been nearly absent from here for 5-6 months

This is just so bizarre, Davey. I'm sure you've got the following settings in your profile under General Settings > Messaging and Notifications:
From the sounds of it, you used to get the emails and now you don't - is that right? I get notifications in every thread I've ever posted to, and as you know, given the number of threads I've posted to over the years, that can mean a ton of emails!!! I went so far as to set up a separate folder in my inbox and set up a rule to divert all MOL emails to that folder. I did this with my home email account before coming to work here at Meguiar's, and also with my work email both when we were using Lotus Notes (which, trust me, I really do NOT miss!!!) and now that we've migrated to Outlook. And when I set this up for me, the forum software doesn't care one little bit that I work at Meguiar's.... it's just a string of letters telling the software to send a notification some place.
One thing we find quite regularly is that new users who sign up with an AOL email never see their confirmation email because AOL is so aggressive with their spam filters that we get blocked, shredded and tossed in the trash - the intended recipient has no clue we ever sent them anything. You might want to check and see if you can white list "Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online " either through your email account's master settings, or whatever other spam controls you may have.

Remember, this hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need therapy.
My settings were generally the same as yours, with the exception of:
"Receive Emails from Other Members" and "Don't show New Private Message Notification Pop-up"
You wouldn't think those two would do anything about my issue, but I've changed them to how you've showed them above.
Fingers crossed!

Sorry, but can someone reply to this thread please? Just so I can see whether it's working for me yet?
Thanks
