This is envisioned as a clear protective barrier, much like Brake Dust Barrier, that is applied by aresol spray over the front part of the hood, the headlights, and front bumper area.
It is like the 3M clear bra, except more temporary and a whole lot less expensive. Intended to protect against road rash from sand and other small debris during long trips or daily commute at top speed on the interstate, or driving through seasonal bug swarms, muddy or salted roads. Like an extra thick clear coat, but removable with IPA or special clay or degreaser or something stronger than just soap and water. Ugly enough to discourage some yahoos from coating their entire car with the stuff, but inobtrusive enough to put just on the front part of the car when needed.
