  • New MF towels??

The Meguiar's Supreme Shine towels are My favourite towels.
They are affordable, high quality, effective and readily available. very nice.

However, I do suggest there should be a few different sizes for different usages:
from square towels of 16"x16", up to huge 24"x36".

Besides, it would be nice if Meguiar's come out with a thicker towel with silk/MF edge. I have seen a lot of manufacturers like C0BRA claim how plush and how good their towels is. While I do not have a scientific proof on how much better those expensive towels actually are, it gives a feeling (psychological at least) to user that a thick towel will have less chance to scratch paint.

    What do you think?

I use Wally World towels with no problem so a new microfiber towel really wouldn't do much for me. They are cheap, effective and don't scratch the paint when used with correct technique. The towels won't scratch, incorrect technique will scratch.

However, I see how it could be beneficial to others. Using thick towels is really fun and cool but overrated in some aspects.

I have never really think about the technique of "using" a towel...
      What are the technique?

      I have been doing these:
      - I try my best to keep them clean - look at them carefully to see if any dirt get trapped in the towels.
      - I try not to use pressure when using them.
      - After each detailing section, I soak them in water and machine wash them, air dry.
      - Sometimes I add white vinegar in the machine wash...

      Any more?

Thats it. But a lot of people don't use that proper technique and blame the towels when something goes wrong. For example, scrubbing instead of wiping.

I also try to wipe as much in one direction as possible.

          Dennis,

Have you tried tumble drying your MF towels? They turn out much softer IME. Just use a cool-warm setting on your dryer.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

            davey g-force,

I do not have a dryer at home. People often hang their clothing etc under Sun here in Hong Kong.

They turn out much softer than air-dry?? That would be great to know for a lot of people who has access to dryer.
