  • It would really be nice to find these in my local store...

Not having a problem finding the chemicals. I want Megs Accessories on my local store shelves (wally world, target, advanced auto ex ct.).

So at the moment I'm stuck. Megs Direct is missing the foam applicators that I want. ADS is temporarily out of the SS MF 3pks that I need. Of course it's not really practical for me to ship from two different places. And I can't find any Megs Applicators or towels at any stores around here.

I realize there may not be much that Megs can do about what stores put on their shelves, but I wish that there was.

    Thanks for reading.

I just wish that I could get some place in my own town to order Megs detailer products -- I have to source them from 100 miles away and they don't ship. Bah. We have all the suspects, Advance, Autozoned and Oreilly and they all just give this blank stare and say 'that part # won't come up sir, we wouldn't be able to get it even special order, sorry'.

Have you tried a local PBE for the detailer and professional lines?

I wish I could walk into a local store and get a great towel. Why don't Meguiar's or Mother's sell their towels at local stores? A regular person that just wants to wash and dry their car should be able to not only get car soap, but something to dry it with too. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Not to gloat, but... (you outta-state guys are gonna hate me, but you San Diego area guys will appreciate this)

On my way to Meguiars Thursday Open Garage nights, I pass through Oceanside at the north end of San Diego county. Two miles off the interstate is a fantastic detailing shop named The Total Pros which also hosts a PBE store carrying most of Meguiars professional products, MF towels, pads, even the G110 (along with Flex, DeWalt, and Cyclo). Prices might be better on the web at ADS, but if I need another gallon of Last Touch (and I do), it's nice to stop off and pick it up on my way to Irvine and save the shipping costs.

And we would LOVE for you to be able to buy all of our products locally. In the most simplistic explanation we give our product catalog to the stores and they choose what they will sell. Your voice is much louder than ours when it comes to what the stores stock on their shelves so go into your local stores and keep asking about those certain products you can't find. Who knows, maybe they'll be in stock in a few months.

If you have an O'Reilly auto parts store near you, go in and see if they can get what you're looking for from one of their warehouses. I know they have several warehouses in the Southeast. I believe they carry most of the Detailer line, Mirror Glaze line, NXT line, and the consumer line in their warehouses, but I'm not 100% sure. You'd just have to go in and ask. Hope this helps!

yup. 100 miles is the only place I found with a full walk-in and purchase detailer/pro line. PBE around here say either 'what we have is it, sorry' or 'might be able to order but you're gonna have to pay shipping to get it to us, if we can even get it..' might as well mail order myself eh

Just called 2 oreilly and got the same song and dance.. 'part # not coming up, even if we can order it , would be a while and you'd have to pay shipping..

translated 'just go buy the nxt tech wax out there in aisle 1.. ( phone rings) 'is that the driver side or passenger side for that chevy tie rod sir?'

parts stores in my area (s. illinois) just arent interested for the large part.

Yea For some reason I thought companies payed for self space. Doesn't work that way though.

I know there is not much Megs can do. It's just frustrating to now finally know what I need to do, and be held up by not being able to find the equipment I need. And It's been my experience that asking for help or asking them to carry a product at wally world is like
lol customer service at most of the retail places I mentioned are lackluster to say the least.

I think there is one near me that I'll check out, TY. Although it's not listed on basspro.com I'm almost certain I drove past one just recently.

There is a small PBE shop here in town that I didn't bother to check because it is so small, but I'll give it a try. Although it looks like the PBE distributer listings need some updating. The 904 area codes were changed to 386 almost 10 years ago. There were two other PBE's, if they still exist or not, that I'll also look into if this one close by does not have what I need.

Just an update. I must have been seeing things as what I thought was a Bass pro was not.

The PBE here in town had no towels or applicators. Of the two PBE shops further away one had nothing I needed and the other had 2 of the 4 packs of foam applicators. So at least I picked that up.

I realized that I posted this in product suggestions and that it's probably not the best place. Sorry about that.

I have the same problem here. I can't find
                            NXT Glass Cleaner
                            Gold Class Endurance

                            Applicators

I gave up looking and ordered the Microfibers from ADS.

I have the same problem here.. Our PBE store has very little Meg's products in stock. I ask for things and they say we would have to order it. I gave them a list of everything I will be using and they still won't stock it. I have to drive 40 miles if I need something today.

They sent their rep to my shop the other day to see how things were going. I could tell the guy had never been in a detail shop before. I told him I was almost out of 205 and he asked what it was for. He had never heard of it or 105 or apc+ or any of the pads.. very frustrating. I told them that ADS was much cheaper and asked if they could match prices or be close. They told me their prices were as low as they could be, full retail!! ADS will be getting more of my business.
