Not sure if this is possible, but we have Quik Detailers, waxes and such. Is it possible to make a Quik Pure Polish that you spray on and buff off?

Re: Quik Polish
There are Quik Waxes and Quik Detailers.
So what Matt wants is a Quik Polish.
Something like a mist and wipe product.Joel

I would think SwilX, Scratch X 2.0, and Ultimate Compound ALL meet the concept of a "quik polish" in the sense that they are quick and easy versions of polishes 9and a compound).
Am I making sense? Or do I just not get it?

Re: Quik Polish
I do not think Matt has perfected the idea yet Mark.
I do not think it was meant to necessarily a wipe on wipe off.
Maybe Work it in a little, and then wipe off.Joel

Re: Quik Polish
I never revive threads from the past, but after reading a recent thread, I just had to. For those who thought it was a silly idea, here's Megafast13's idea coming to fruition.
ColinA common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Re: Quik Polish
Each wax's formula is different, so your journey of finding the right car wax can be extensive and somewhat confusing. But don't panic - you are in the right hands, we'll try to give you best advise possible.
The common question that people as is - how long does the wax last? Well, it depends:
Which car wax did you choose? Is this a Carnauba wax or wax with Synthetic chemicals?
Do you properly wash and clean your car?
Do you use auto detailing products?
What kind of wash do you use? Do you wash by hand or use a paid auto wash?
Where do you park your car each day?
What kind of roads do you use? Are salt or other chemicals being used in winter?
You should definitely choose Natural Carnauba wax, do not buy Synthetic one. It might be cheaper, but don't be fooled by that! The finish and shine of your car with Natural Carnauba wax will last longer. Carnauba offers protection from dirt, UV rays. It also protects your car's paint from scratches.
Carnauba is the main ingredient that can be found in most waxes. Pure Carnauba wax is hard as brick, so if you'll see a 100% Carnauba wax it's not true.

We're talking polish here, not wax. And that bit about carnauba wax is subjective. I find synthetic waxes to outlast carnauba but like the look of carnauba better on dark paint.
Back to the topic - that Optimum product sounds good but you have to wonder how well it performs compared to a more traditional polish.
I'll have to look out for a review of it...Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

This product is a polish (a compound). In Meguiars terminology, a polish is what others call a glaze, that is, mostly oils and fillers that beautify paint that has already been polished (buffed/compounded/rubbed ect.)
I think the OP is referring to a polish as in Meguiars terminology, as in Megs #7.
