  • Best slick product

    Hi Meguiar's,

I am eagerly seeking the best slick product and I believe you can guide me in the right direction.
I used Ultimate Line (Quick wax, detailer, and paste wax) for a long time.
After the ceramic products era, I used a Hybrid ceramic wax spray type and detailer.
Although these products offer better protection, such as water beading and shedding and chemical resistance, they are not close to slickness.
Now, I am using M27 and M799. However, I'm missing slickness in the Ultimate line, especially the Ultimate paste wax.
M27 has a slick over other ceramic line products, but after topping M799, the slickness is reduced.

Would you recommend best and super slickness products in any line?

That's a great question, we may need the community's help on this one, as I do not know that we have documented this, but would likely agree, a more traditional paste wax like our Gold Class Carnauba or Ultimate Paste may be hard to beat. The other thought is a Ceramic Coating, like our new M888 Beyond Ceramic Paint Coating, it is slick and may hold a more slick feel for longer with it's more semi-permanent durability.

I was really disappointed with the Hybrid paint coating. So, is M888 different? Which one is more slick, M888 or M27?

I have the same combo as you on a daily, M27 upkeep with the Hybrid line - M799, Detailer, Spray wax, and soap. I used Hybrid Paint Coating on my dad's car and personally am impressed how tough it is. Maintaining it with M799, Detailer, and soap.
Now, I still use Ultimate line on friends cars and they love it. So do I, used it since it came out until M27. I still, and always will, have a bottle of ULW.
There are so many amazing products on the market, but also nobody has reinvented the wheel. My personal thought is take a line from Mike Phillips - "Find something you like and use it often"
You tried the Ceramic line, and still like the Ultimate line more. Stay with that and you will be where you know and enjoy. ULW was always slick, the improved formula a few years ago on the line made it better. ULW (and UPW), USW, and UD, washed with the Ultimate Wash & Wax soap is a winning team.

For me, the new version of ULW is very slick. After curing, it stays slick for a good while. Plus I get four months of durability easily. Doesn’t really matter as I apply it every two months. Other “waxes” that I’ve used are collinite 476, finish kare hi-temp paste, Wolfgang fusion….etc. I always use ULW , it’s that good!!

We find that the ease-of-use and maintenance of the Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax when doing exterior car wash and auto detailing provides amazing gloss and SLICKNESS. if you couple your wash with a follow-up-clay-mit than it will increase the "glass-like" feel and will help the wax bond to the paint. check it out. its the blue bottle! the customer loves is as well!
