  • Waxed leather seats! How do I remove it?

I just came home for 2 weeks R6R: My daughter tried to clean my seats, but used the wax instead of the leather cleaner/restorer. I have a 2004 Mustang Mach1 and there are a thousand little holes in the custom leather. How do I get the wax off without ruining the leather????? Appreciate any help!!!!

This should be an easy fix!!! Use Meguiar's Rich Leather Aloe Cleaner first to remove as much of the wax as possible from the seats. Then, take a warm moist towel and wipe down the perforated area of the seats. After you have done a section with the moist towel, follow immediatly with a vaccum to pull any product that has been loosened from the pin holes of the seats.

This may take a couple applications but it should completely come out.

If the Aloe Cleaner isn't strong enough you could give the APC a try.

It's also usefull to take a brush with stiff bristles like Meg's "All Surface Interior Brush".

      ps. live nearby Frankfurt too!

I agree, however the main concern for him is the removing of the product from the pin holes, and that is where the warm moist towel and vaccum will do the best to correct this. You do need to be very aggresive with the leather cleaners for this situation yet.
