Hello, I got into an accident I got a good check that covered my damaged fender and had enough to get a new paint Job and get rid of all my dents. I took the cheap route and got a single stage paint/ clearcoat mix. I feel like the cheap route was eventually gonna bite me back because its been 3-4 years now and the paint starting to oxidize, has scratches, and now hard water marks. I loved the look of the deep black shiny finish it had. Can I get it almost showroom finish by hand only?

Can someone give me the list of items I need and step by step of what items comes first to last in the procedure of a full complete detail. I'm willing to spend a day doing this. The only spots that are fading are the roof, hood, and trunk so I imagine it won't be too long. Im willing to spend around $50-100 for the right products I need too. Thanks for your time fellas I'm new to this forum and hope to get a lot of helpful knowledge.

If you truly have single stage paint this would be a good thread to read

You also want to wash and clay before you do anything. You should also get some ultimate compound, ultimate polish and the wax of your choice. These alone should bring back the shine.

Do you happen to have any photos of the car?

Always have to remember that there is always maintainance to b performed. U can't just do it once and then not do anything else for 5 years. But guz is right get u some ultimate compound, polish, wax. As well as a clay bar kit

I know I gotta keep my paint maintained, I've waxed it at least 1-2 a year but it's a daily driver and the car has been sitting outside in the sun pretty much everyday since the paint job. I literally got some common sense a month ago and bought a car cover. I'm not sure how to post pictures yet I got to read the "how to" but it's still a good looking car but up close in the sun you can see the oxidation.
Thanks guz for the link it was very helpful too.
