  • Product with bite to clean textured exterior trim

I usually use Trim Detailer for my exterior trim and that usually works great. However, in those cases the trim is clean and only needs that extra "tanning" to restore that nice black color.

Recently I noticed (after haven't had the time for a couple of months to clean my car) that green/white gunk had accumulated over time on my ABS unpainted textured black rooftrim. Washing the car followed by a Trim Detailer had no result whatsoever to remove it. Nail scratching didn't have any results either

I'll need a product with a bit more bite to clean this off. Anybody any ideas? As the surface is textured, I'd like to stay away from abrasives/polishes. In that respect, I don't think clay would be working either.

    Please advise

Try using some APC or APC+ with a small brush/toothbrush. It should knock the gunk off!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

      Green sounds a bit different.

You can certainly try clay, Dawn dish soap, APC. Can work the soap/APC in with a brush as mentioned.

Why not try the APC, or APC+. You can start out with euther one at a 10:1 dilution ratio. If it does not have enough "bite" you can make it stronger up to a 4:1 ratio.
