    Re: Problem with SwirlX

I first hand wash my applicators with the kind of our local bar soap which takes most of the "dirt" out and then I throw them into a washing machine. They easily withstand temperatures of 60 deg. C. (I think it is well over 100 F). I found this method to work out best for me. I have some foam applicators that I've been using for like 2 years now and they still are in a very good shape, so to speak.

Im having a problem I have a new car black and I picked it up from the dealer I couldnt see any swirls in the car I washed it the next day using 2 buckets ,clean MF towels a foam applicator pad I waxed it the car looked cherry . A week later I took it to the car wash brushless .it did a lousy job and then there were visible swirl marks primiarly in the hood area . I complained to the dealer and they said to bring it to a dealership close to me and have them polish them out . i understand they use a foam pad and a commercial swirl remover . Im afraid to touch it myself . Any suggestions would be greatly apprecieated

Well, going to have to to take it to them if you are worried about doing it yourself. Of course most of us here would try ourselves with some products first.

A test spot with some SwirlX and/or Ultimate Compound should show you if it is possible for you to work on it.

As a side note, the car wash may not have caused the swirls, it is a strong soap, and may have just removed wax from the dealer hiding the swirls.
