I first hand wash my applicators with the kind of our local bar soap which takes most of the "dirt" out and then I throw them into a washing machine. They easily withstand temperatures of 60 deg. C. (I think it is well over 100 F). I found this method to work out best for me. I have some foam applicators that I've been using for like 2 years now and they still are in a very good shape, so to speak.
