If you read this forum long enough you'll note that we don't hard sell anything by Meguiar's on this forum. The goal is to answer questions and thus solve problems. If our products will solve our member's problems the products will sell themselves.

My point on our polisher is this, the hardest step and the step that takes the most time is the step where you remove the swirls out of the paint, this means the step where you remove a little paint.

DA Polishers like our and the Porter Cable Unit, (which Meguiar's introduced to the detailing world back in the early 1990's before everyone and their brother put up a website and added these tools to their store), are popular because they are safe and easy to use as compared to a rotary buffer.

Their safety feature is also the reason it takes longer to remove swirls and this is because they have a clutch which stops the pad from spinning when too much pressure is applied or the pad is not held flat on a flat surface.

The specific point is this, more power is better and means doing the swirl removal step faster. You can use both tools to remove the swirls out of paint but our G110 will tend to enable you to do this faster because of the little bit of extra power.

It's all about keeping the pad rotating while doing the cleaning step as that's when paint is removed best. Just some tidbits of information based upon years of experience using these tools and teaching others how to use them.

      Here's the link,

      G110 Dual Action Polisher

All of our small pads will work on this tool, our new 7" Soft Buff pads are washable. The most common question that comes up in our classes when it comes to working by machine is,

How to you clean the pads?

People figure out at around $14.00 a pad you want to use them more than once thus the above question...

Washable 7" Soft Buff 2.0 Foam Pads
W8207 - Washable Foam Polishing Pad
W9207 - Washable Foam Finishing Pad

Fear not, if you decide to go with another polisher and someone else's pads and even chemicals we'll still be happy to help you get the best results from your time, money and efforts.

Though I am a strong believer in purchasing Meguiar's products with resellers like Auto Detailing Solutions, when it comes to the G110 polisher, I think a lot can be said for ordering it directly from Meguiar's. If it ever needs to be exchanged, I think it is easier to deal directly with the company:
