Was wondering if wet sanding would get this out

So the story is that I lent my car to my sister on her road trip. She got bird poop on it in the beginning of the trip and didn't bother cleaning it. So it was sitting on the hood and a few spots for over 2 weeks since I didn't get the car back until a week after she came home. I go to school an hour away so I do not come back often. So when I came back I saw it filthy and decided to detail it. After washing and claying I found this spot and decided to use some ultimate compound on it. It didn't budge. So I decided to work on it more with a bit more elbow grease and nothing happened. It has been sitting there annoying me. So I was wondering would wet sanding take this problem away? Thanks

I had a similar situation on my friend's car when bird droppings got baked into the paint after sunny weekend. I used 3000 grit sanding paper first and then M105/ M205 combo.

That looks to me like the beginning of clear coat failure, I've had bird droppings on my new car, and my 20 year old truck for weeks at a time and nothing that severe has happened. Your bird must have been eating a diet of all acidic fruits inn order to produce clear coat cracking poo.

Perhaps it just happened to land on a spot that you didn't yet notice was failing? From the looks of the surrounding paint, you have a lot of clear coat damage if you already washed that surface, and clayed it properly.. there should be none of those spots anywhere. Not trying to be too critical here, but in my opinion if that is a hood, or a roof, you may want to go ahead and carefully wet sand the entire panel, followed by a good polishing compound.
