  • Where can I get information on wet sanding?

I have a 95 Riviera which I plan to use as testing area prior to fixing some spots on my G35 coupe. I am planning on basically removing excess touch up paint on the G?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    hey

removing excess touch up paint is difficult due to the fact that all around that area is factory clear. If you sand, even with a 2500 grit you risk going through the clear around the excess paint on your G. Infiniti has incredibly thin and soft clear so I would tread very carfully.

        Hi wjfm1,

Leveling blobs of touch-up paint is very difficult to do without harming the surround paint. The best advise I can offer is to clean the affected area well with alcohol, then apply a very small amount of touch-up pant using a very small, fine tipped artist paint brush, (#000), or a toothpick. Then walk away and let the touch-up paint dry. As it dries, it will tend to shrink-back. Then after it has shrunk-back, apply some more if needed.

The goal is to avoid creating a blob in the first place.

Some people have good luck using these also to level touch-up paint.
