  • Wetsanding urethane primer

After block sanding the urethane primer with 600 wet, all of the panels look very straight, but it seems that I have VERY small waves throught the entire car. They cannot be felt, but at a particular angle I can see them. The car was at bare metal to start, variprime, urethane primer that was blocked with long boards between coats until flat.

So now after wetsanding, I see these tiny little waves. Two different painters came by and said the car is ready for paint. They both said that I will not see this when the car is finished and wetsanded. I need more input.

    Thanks for the help.

open the dry primer sanding video and check if something from here applies.

I know it's a commercial link, but I think it covers some of your doubts.

I'm familiar with clear coat sanding, but not that much with primer sanding, but I hope this helps.
