Hiya Folks,
A complete noob to cutting/buffing/polishing (and painting for that matter). Anyway, I recently just painted my Jeep Wrangler with Base/Clear. I then proceeded to wetsand through 1500 and then hit it with 1500 and 2000 abralon pads. Looked good. Using the rotary with a Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool pad and Megs 105 shines it up pretty good. However, I keep having spots that appear to be hazing. I tried to step up to an orange pad with the M105 but that didn't seem to do anything to improve the situation. So now I'm a little stuck on what to do. I suppose I should go after it again with the PFW and 105 but am worried that maybe my technique may be what's at fault here. Or perhaps I'm just being too cautious and not going long enough. Been using the rotary at 1200-1400 rpm and making probably 6-8 slow passes over any given area. Any advice for the noob? Pictures would help and I'll try to get some up tonight.
Cheers,
cc
